Miss Michelle Ting is a highly skilled consultant ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon specialising in the management of eyelid, lacrimal and orbital conditions in adults and children.

She focuses on listening carefully to her patients and working together with them to achieve the best outcome. She aims for natural-looking results and will use hidden or small incisions to achieve this wherever possible. She is a meticulous surgeon and is known for putting patients at ease with her friendly and caring manner.

Miss Ting has over a decade of experience as an ophthalmic surgeon. After qualifying from Cambridge University and Imperial College medical schools in the top 5 of the year, she completed her ophthalmology training and initial oculoplastic training at Moorfields Eye Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. She was then selected as one of just two international candidates to undertake an advanced fellowship in oculofacial surgery in the USA, accredited by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS). She trained for two years at the University of California San Diego Shiley Eye Institute, under the guidance of world-renowned surgeons Professor Don Kikkawa and Professor Bobby Korn, where she learned to perform the most up-to-date minimally invasive techniques in oculofacial surgery. While there she was also awarded the national ASOPRS prize two years in a row for her research on thyroid eye disease.

She is passionate about research and education and has published over 35 peer-reviewed papers and authored three oculoplastic textbook chapters. She enjoys training the future generation of oculoplastic surgeons in her NHS practice at the Royal Free Hospital in London. She also leads the eyelid trauma wet lab course at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, lectures nationally on blepharoplasty and eyelid reconstruction, and teaches ophthalmologists preparing for the oculoplastic component of the FRCOphth Consultant exam.

Ms Ting is an Ophthalmologist skilled in eyelid surgery; cosmetic eyelid and facial rejuvenation, functional oculoplastic eyelid conditions, lacrimal conditions, and orbital disease.
