Zish is a senior Orthoptist with over 16 years of extensive experience in visual development and amblyopia (lazy eye); visual impairment; squints (misalignment of the eyes) and complex eye movement disorders in adults and children.
He specialises in investigating, diagnosing, and managing eye movement disorders in children and adults and manages the disruption of visual development in children. He is a liaison for visually impaired children and can provide detailed reports highlighting the child’s visual needs. Zish strives to ensure the provision of evidence-based practice and high standards of care, which is well-aligned with the ethos of Clinica London.
Zish is currently the Head Orthoptist and Lead Orthoptist for the London Retinoblastoma service at The Royal London Hospital (Barts NHS Health Trust). He has invaluable expertise from working in one of London’s major trauma centres, as well as from Moorfields Eye Hospital both in London and in Dubai.
Zish has successfully treated amblyopia (lazy eye) in 10s of 1000s of children as old as 16 years of age. He works closely with the Consultant Ophthalmologist to provide vital orthoptic findings to tailor surgical procedures for the individual. This has been within the NHS (over 16 years) and private practice (over 9 years).
Mr Naeem accepts orthoptic referrals from all consultant ophthalmologists, neurologists, neuro-surgeons, hospital paediatricians, community paediatricians, developmental paediatricians, community orthoptists, General Practitioners (GP) and optometrists. It is recommended that self-referrals first get a letter from their GP or a referring medical professional.
