Restylane Skinboosters is a specific treatment using Hyaluronidase performed by the doctor at Clinica London using Vital and Vital Light. Usually for hands a deep treatment is used, meaning not so much that I go deep into skin, but that I use a greater quantity between 6 and 12 vials over three or six sessions. Each session can be separated by two to four weeks. After that there is just maintenance with a much smaller quantity re-injected every six months.
Hand Skinboosters treatment can be quite sensitive and therefore I use a topical local anaesthetic cream put on the hands beforehand for 20 to 30 minutes. The Restylane Skinboosters does contain local anaesthetic, but it is still helpful to have had some local anaesthetic cream on the hands beforehand. There can of course be some bruising and swelling initially and that usually settles in three to five days, as on the face with any injections if there is bruising then some light camouflage cream can be used. Increasingly people are requesting Skinboosters both on their face and their hands.
